* University College is for adult students who have graduated from high school two or more years before entering Rutgers University or for students who want only part-time or nonmatriculating study.
§ Upper-division school. All applicants interested in the Rutgers Business School first are admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences. Few students will be accepted into the Rutgers Business School-New Brunswick in their first year, as sdmission is extremely competitive and only the top applicants will be chosen. All applicants should expect to enter the Rutgers Business School at the beginning of their junior year.
†† The Western Monmouth and Atlantic Cape programs are for students with an associate's degree, an R.N. degree, or at least 60 college credits
completed. Only R.N. nursing students can attend Western Monmouth as nonmatriculating students.

††† Opened only for music and dance applicants.
*** For individuals with previous college work and who are interested in professional studies in life, environmental, food, marine, natural resource, and agricultural sciences taught by the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences faculty.
