- Students who apply for admission to the Camden College of Arts and Sciences are automatically considered based on their application for admission and supporting credentials.
Selection Criteria:
- Transfer students and currently enrolled Rutgers-Camden students must complete an application to the Honors College which is available in the Honors College offices.

Newark College of Arts & Sciences
Application Procedure:
- Incoming students are automatically considered based on their application for admission and supporting credentials.
- Interested first and second year students and transfer students with a 3.5 or higher GPA may contact the Honors College directly to set up an appointment for an interview.
Selection Criteria:
- Freshmen: SAT scores, high school class rank, well-rounded extracurricular and academic record
- Continuing and transfer students: university transcripts and personal interview

Application Procedure:
- First year students who are eligible are invited to participate in the Honors Program in the second year.
Selection Criteria:
- First-year students who have minimum SAT scores of 1200 are monitored by the honors program adviser in both individual and group sessions. After the first semester, the top 10 percent of the class of all first-year students will be formally invited to participate in the honors program during the second semester.
- Sophomore and junior students are eligible based on transcript review (3.8 grade-point average or rank in top 10% of the Nursing class required), written statement, and personal interview with faculty and staff of program.

School of Arts and Sciences
Selection Criteria and Application Procedure:
High school seniors who have been admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences and who meet all of the following minimum criteria will automatically be offered admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program:
- Minimum high school rank in class in the top 10 percent
- Minimum total combined Critical Reading and Math SAT score of 1350
- Minimum Critical Reading score of 650
- If no SAT scores are available, minimum ACT score of 30
High school seniors who have been admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences but do not meet all of these criteria, or admitted students who attend schools that do not report class rank, may apply for admission to the SAS Honors Program. Guidance counselors, high school teachers, and others who are aware of outstanding students who do not meet the criteria above should encourage these students to apply through the application process, and are welcome to contact the SAS Honors Program by phone at 732/932-7964 or by email at honors@sas.rutgers.edu.

The deadline for submission of an application for admission to the SAS Honors Program is Saturday, February 28, 2009.

Application Procedure:
- The faculty honors committee invites admitted students to apply and interview for the honors program.

- Individual interview

- Writing sample

- Grade-point average

Application Procedure:
- First-year students who have strong SAT scores are invited to participate in honors program activities in preparation for enrolling in the program in the second year.
- Students with a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average for the first year are invited by the honors program committee to submit an application.
Selection Criteria:
- Students are invited to apply in the fall of their second year and are asked to write an essay explaining why they would like to participate in the honors program.

Mason Gross School of the Arts
- The Mason Gross School of the Arts is a small school that permits faculty to pay attention to the educational and artistic needs of each student. It provides additional opportunities for the exceptional student, but does not offer a formal honors program.

School of Engineering
Application Procedure:
- Students who apply for admission to the School of Engineering are automatically considered.
- Potential candidates are sent an honors application, which must be returned with the required personal statement by March 15th of each year.
Selection Criteria:
- SAT scores, class rank, and placement in Honors Calculus are among the selection criteria.
- Emphasis is also placed on personal statement and past accomplishments reflected in the student’s resume, including academic projects, community service, and leadership.
