David Stern '63, leads the National Basketball Association (NBA). During his tenure as commissioner, the NBA has added six franchises, expanded its national television exposure, and launched the Women's National Basketball Association.

"I was mostly a "city kid" who at 16 ½ decided he wanted to be "on the banks", go to football games and live in the quad. Little did I know that a first-class education would be provided, and allow me to enter the real world on a solid footing."

David Stern received his degree from Rutgers in American history.
