| One Word That Describes Rutgers |

 |
| One Cool Thing |
I have this weird ability of sensing things before they happen. In order words, I guess you can say that I'm a bit of a psychic. My friends are shocked every time I tell them that something's going to happen to them and it does end up happening. Call it intuition or a "6th sense," but I have it! |

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what I want to do for graduate school. I'm still trying to explore different options for majors at present. I want to work in a crime lab in the future. |
| Academic Honors |
I placed third (New Jersey state standing) in the Medical Spelling Competition for Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).

| Rutgers Reflects the World |
Living in an urban area all my life, I'm used to the ethnic diversity within the city. Growing up in Brooklyn and Jersey City allowed me to value different cultures that surrounded me on a daily basis. Right now, my groups of friends include Indians, Hispanics, Caucasians, Filipinos, and many other ethnicities. Where else can you see a huge group of people of different races getting along and just being silly? Rutgers is where it's at! |
| Rutgers Experiences |
Because I am a first-year student, I haven't experienced many things as of yet. Basically, I'm wrapping up the transition from high school student to college student. Things run differently in college and many people decide that it's just a time to slack off. However, college should be the time where all students get with the program and start to become serious about their futures. College either makes you or breaks you and I'm planning to make the best out of my college experience. Also, I have befriended many people of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Everyday I learn something new from my peers. I can safely say that every day at rutgers is a learning experience. |
| Internships |
All my prior internships were non-paying internships as part of the curriculum for the program I was a part of in high school. I had an internship in Walgreens Pharmacy where I filled prescriptions and performed basic cashiering duties. |
| Volunteer Experiences |
In high school, I volunteered at Jersey City Medical Center by observing different departments within the hospital. |

| Why Rutgers? |
Rutgers is cost effective for an excellent education. Why pay more to go to a school that is out of state when you can come to Rutgers and get an Ivy League education? Professors are easily accessible and tend to your concerns immediately. RU is also prestigious when it comes to different research studies. |

I'm well rounded when it comes to music. The music on my iPod is more rock/alternative, though. Right now, I'm constantly listening to The Motion City Soundtrack, HelloGoodbye, Fall Out Boy, 3 Doors Down, Vertical Horizon, Dashboard Confessional, Green Day, and The Foo Fighters. Going away from the rock/alternative scene, I've also been listening to a lot of Frankie J, Ashlee Simpson, Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, Eminem, Jay Z. I'll basically listen to any type of music as long as it's good!
