I'm
of Indian descent, and I love the diversity at Rutgers.
It keeps things new and interesting. I think
its really cool that I have friends from
so many different origins. I know this sounds dorky, but I honestly
end up learning things even when I'm not in class. |
| Rutgers Experiences |
When
I first came to the Newark campus I was going crazy.
Even though our campus is moderately sized, everything
was still overwhelming. I'm sure this is a feeling
that all first-year freshman get. I was really
suprised how much support and assistance
I received from the staff at Rutgers-Newark and how
quickly all my fears were put to rest. I really enjoy going
to school here because it has opened my eyes
to so many things. I believe it's allowing me
to make a good transition from dependent living
at home to living in the real world. |

I'm
currrently working on an internship with the psychology
department for credit, but I have friends working internships
in so many different fields from marine biology to business. |

So
many volunteer opportunities are available to us.
I'm actually working with a firehouse program to help
children that have been affected by HIV/AIDS. It's
very rewarding to volunteer there because you meet
so many interesting people. |
