Rutgers: The State University of New Jersey

My Name Is Rachel
One Word That Describes Rutgers
One Cool Thing

I’m Canadian born, but I have lived much of my life outside of Canada – in the Netherlands, France, China, and, of course, the USA.

Home State

Ontario… New Jersey is my adopted home.

Campus Rutgers-New Brunswick
College Rutgers College
Majors History, Art History
Grad Date Spring 2008
Post-Graduation Plans

I hope to pursue a career in art history either working in a museum or art gallery. My dream job would be to become an art dealer.

Academic Honors

Rutgers College Honors Program (RCHP); Dean’s List; Bloustein Scholar; Carr Scholar

Rutgers Reflects the World

This past summer I studied art history in Paris at the Louvre. This wonderful opportunity is only one of the many offered by Rutgers Study Abroad.

Rutgers Experiences

One of my Rutgers memories is of the first football game I ever attended…which we won!

Rutgers Traditions

RutgersFest is most certainly my favorite Rutgers tradition- there couldn’t be a better way to end the school year!

Volunteer Experiences

I tutor students from the local elementary school at the New Brunswick Public Library. The kids are so sweet and grateful for the help- it all makes for a very rewarding experience.

Clubs and Extracurricular Activities

National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Rutgers College Honors Program (RCHP), Amnesty International, West Indian Society (WISA), Carr Scholar

Why Rutgers

Rutgers offers a solid education that’s affordable. It’s also a very diverse school with something for everyone.
