Rutgers Reflects the World I'm mostly English and Polish and I really didn't know a lot about other cultures, but when I came to Rutgers I was introduced to all different types. Two of my good friends are Indian and Portuguese and I have learned a lot from them.
Rutgers Experiences So far I have had an amazing time. I am also in SCILS which is nice to now be able to focus on communication classes that I have interest in, however all the classes for the RC requirements were more interesting then I ever expected and I have learned about so many topics, some of which I never thought of taking a class about until I came to Rutgers. I've also met so many people and made great friends.
Internships I haven't been able to apply for an internship yet, but I can't wait to get one through SCILS. I think an internhship will be so much fun because you are at a place where you want to pursue a career in. Being a Scarlet Ambassador tour guide is also a great experience, it is nice to know that you can help people decide to join the Rutgers community.
Rutgers Traditions I love wearing Red Shirts and going to
the football games. I love RutgersFest,
going to the pep rally, and midnight
madness.
Volunteer Experiences Through a friend at the AIDS society at Rutgers, I volunteered at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital to put on a Christmas for children with AIDS, which was a very heart warming experience.
Why Rutgers I chose Rutgers because I learned about the communication school and internships that I would have available to me. I also love sports and going to Division I games and the fact that I can go to school 40 minutes away from home but not feel like I am too close.
