Application Fee

The nonrefundable fee for the Rutgers Undergraduate Admissions Application is US $70.00. (Fee information for the School of Health Professions is here.)

Rutgers must receive the fee or a fee waiver before your application will be considered complete and ready for review. Please choose one of these fee payment options:

  • Online Payment
    • When you submit the online application, you may use the secure payment gateway to pay the application fee with a valid credit card
    • You also may pay the fee online with a credit card via the link on your Rutgers Status but only after 24-72 hours have passed since you submitted the application
  • Payment By Mail
    • You may download and mail the application fee payment form with a check made payable to Rutgers University
  • Official Fee Waivers
    • Rutgers University accepts official College Board, NACAC, ACT, EOF and Coalition fee waivers. Students who participate in the National School Lunch Program also receive a waiver of the application fee. If paying the application fee would pose a financial hardship and you are currently in school, see your high school counselor for an official waiver and fax or mail the waiver form to us. If you already graduated from high school, please ask your college transfer advisor or a member of a social service agency familiar with your financial situation to provide you with a letter requesting a waiver based on your circumstances. Be certain your full name and Rutgers identification number (RUID) are clearly printed on the form or letter. You should fax or mail your waiver request to Rutgers within one week of submitting your admissions application.
