Today was the Pharmacy Involvement Fair at the Busch Campus Center. There are so many active organizations for people in my major, which is awesome because I can connect with students in my major even during my first pre-professional years. I'm excited to meet everyone and get involved! I attended the university-wide Involvement Fair a couple weeks ago at Voorhees Mall, and I've decided to join: Douglass Student Recruitment Network (They organize overnight visits and information sessions for prospective students), Douglass Orientation Committee (I had a great time at my Douglass orientation, so I want to do that for next year's Douglass girls), Bhakti Club (yoga & vegan food & meditation!). But I definitely want to be involved with my school so I can meet others in my major.
At the Pharmacy fair, they had students working in hospitals and in community pharmacies share their experiences. All the clubs set up their poster boards to recruit new members!
I'm hoping to join a professional fraternity. Phi Delta Chi definitely interested me because they have a great balance of social, professional, and community service events. It's also the biggest fraternity with over 55 members. I'm going to a Rush event with one of my friends tomorrow, so I'll see how it goes!

Lambda Kappa Sigma is a professional pharmacy sorority. It's much smaller, with about 25 girls. I'm going to one of their Rush events next week so I get a feel for the sorority.

Alpha Zeta Omega definitely seemed like the more social professional fraternity. Freshmen are not allowed to pledge in their first semester, so I have some time to check out other clubs and stay on top of my academics.

And they had food! I've noticed events with food have a much higher turnout of people.
