I AM NEPTUNE, GOD OF THE SEA!

Not really, but my experience at Neptune Night was fantastic.  My friends and I decided to get to Neilson dining hall around 4:30 and snag a table so when the rest of our crew came we wouldn't have to scramble around for a place to sit.  To be completely honest, I was psyched out for the epicness that was to be Neptune Night since the first time I saw the flyer, and when the day came I could barely contain myself.  Of course, I get that way sometimes- I actually only had Lobster once before in my life but I was determined to expand my fishy horizons.

We get to the dining hall and there are a good amount of people there- just another typical day at Neilson.  The hall was all decorated to an ocean theme; complete with pirates and treasure.  We waited in a short line for lobster, grab some shrimp, scurry over to the crab cakes, and then head off to an empty table.  Sounds easy, right?  Of course, 15 minutes later the place is packed in so tightly that walking into the crowd meant climbing on top of eachother.  The buddy system was necessary.

After our other friends arrived (plus some others we picked up along the way) we started chowing down on the feast.  Unfortunately, I named my lobster (Gilbert) and found it difficult to dismember his structure.  However, the few pieces I was able to eat without feeling guilty were delicious, and the other fish treats (such as shrimp, crab cakes, etc) were excellent as well.  I really enjoyed the company, as well as the bib they supplied us with.  All in all, we spent about 2.5 hours there chatting and eating- time well worth spent at Neptune Night!
