Time, it's a funny thing!

Things really seem to be flying by. It’s weird in high school time seemed to drag on, the weeks were so long and the weekends were too short. Here it seems to be completely different. My weeks fly by, one day it’s Monday and the next it’s Thursday (Monday’s and Thursday’s however do not fly by because I have expos at 8:40). It’s half way through the semester and my schedule for the week is basically the same. Monday is nap day and work day, I only have morning expos so I have the whole day to get things done. Tuesday is hell day, the only thing I do is go to class, five to be specific, four of them right in a row, ya I really can’t wait to plan my own schedule. Wednesday is laundry day, normally I have two or three loads of wash, I’m unsure how I go through so much. Thursday is roommate night, we watch Grey’s and Private Practice! Friday is work day, I try to get most of my work for the next week so I have the weekend to relax, and I go out at night. Saturday is relax day, I have the day to myself, I read what I want, write what I want, watch Gossip Girl and catch up on shows I missed from the week before (BTW I love Gossip Girl, if you don’t watch it, you are really missing out XOXO) And finally Sunday is football and cleaning day, I watch my beloved Giants (I still love them even after this Sunday in New Orleans), and completely clean the room. I think my week is pretty good, I mean basically I have more time to myself than to classes, which I think is incredibly awesome. I mean as long as I stick to my plan and get work done when I have to I’m all set. I’ve learned there is a time to work and a time to play, when I respect those times I’m good.

Time also must be flying by faster than I thought because apparently I already have to think about housing for NEXT year. Yes, that is right people you heard me, it is only October 19, and I already have to think about next year. Apparently if you want to get a house you need to get it by the end of October, if you want a decent one. First I don’t know where I want to live next year, let alone with who. I mean I basically just got here, there is really no way I know who I want to live with, but we’ll see what happens. Also courses for next semester come up next week, already! So be careful, and pay attention to time and what you have to do because believe me, it really can sneak up on you.

I’ve also had an eventful past two days. Sunday night I got really sick in the middle of the night, and got no sleep at all. I felt really bad because I think I kept Kylie up, even though she won’t admit it. After my sleepless night I had to go to Bush for my 8:40 expos class. From College Avenue to Bush you can take either the H bus or the A bus, do you know how much a F looks like an H when you’ve had no sleep. I took a nice little detour to Cook/Douglas and ended up being twenty minutes late for class. Thank god my professor didn’t really care. During expos we had peer editing on our most recent papers, which was horrible because my paper was probably the worst one I’ve ever written. Good thing I have all week to fix it before I have the final due. I also broke my Monday schedule, no nap (I know I just preached the importance of my schedule, ironic)! When I got back Kylie’s class had been cancelled so we went to Brower for our first breakfast since school started. Let me tell you, Brower and breakfast don’t really get along. The only thing that is remotely good is an omelet, which takes you about thirty minutes to get. I’m going to stick to my blueberry yogurt that I get at Au Bon Pain everyday, (I really don’t eat in the dining hall too much, so I feel like it’s a rip off that I had to get such a high dining plan, but that’s another story). After breakfast we decided it was time to expand our horizons and went to the grocery store on George Street, we really needed to get a few things (milk and fruit basically). I really wish that the SAC has fruit because I don’t really like going down there but if you want to you take the EE to Rockoff Hall and you’re right across the street, and on the way back you have to walk a few blocks up to Liberty to get back to College Ave. It’s really not too bad to get there, but if all you need is milk there’s easier ways to get it. The rest of my day way basically spent in my room in my comfy clothes, my favorite! I watched the Yankees lose, I’m still not sure how it happened, but it did. Then we watched some TV. It’s Kylie’s birthday tomorrow so we’re staying up and having a little midnight party. The best part of her birthday is my mom is sending us some baked goods to celebrate! Chocolate chip cookies with our newly purchased good milk (I had a bad experience the other day when I went to make tea and a clump fell out of our milk)! Oh and if anyone wanted to know a little fun fact I learned today, NYC has a different sell by date for milk then everyone else. They’re one of the only places in the country that has their own dating system. They say it allows purchasers to have an extra two days to enjoy fresh milk, but who really knows. Well, now that I’ve enlightened you on milk it’s time for me to go!
