Rutgers turned 243 today! I believe there will be free cookies and drinks in a half hour or so, but I need to get some work done. I celebrated earlier with cake and fruity drinks! Unfortunately, I left before our chorus sang.

I figured I would post today because I have to stay up until 10 PM anyway. Why? Spring Registration! I have my classes all picked out, but I'll only post my schedule once it's set in stone. Here at Rutgers Camden, at least, we register online and those of us with less than 58 credits get to register last so that students with only a few classes left to take are sure to get in. The only class I'm really worried about getting into is Elementary Spanish II. Two classes are already closed out already. Hopefully since I want an 8:00AM class I'll be okay.
It's getting pretty stressful around here as finals and paper due dates are approaching. Luckily we have the gym. I've been working out to kill stress and I may go to Yoga this Thursday, and then Poetry Night, which would be the ultimate emotional cleanse.
In my rare spare time I've also been doing some work with the career center to figure out what I want to do with my life. I attended a Choosing Majors webinar last night. Basically it's a seminar on the computer. I attended while eating dinner in my pajamas! We looked over some online Career Center resources and I want to show you my favorites.
Focus

I like focus because you take a few tests to gage your interests and then 'voila!' you get career options that suit you. I like to sort them by 'mean salary'. The most interesting suggestion I got was "dairy technologist", since I'm lactose intolerant and therefore cannot ingest dairy.
Alumni Career Network Search

Hello Rutgers Connection! Choose an option from above, click submit, and get a list of Alumni who fit into said category. The site also displays their contact information so you can get in touch with them to ask them for advice or tales about their experiences.
Alright, that's it for now. Its 8:28 PM and I'm already fried. I'm going to keep working and maybe even plan a winter getaway. To those of you who are immersed in the end of semester madness: good luck! To those of you who know students: be kind.
