The War Of Red And Green

by System Administrator 19. November 2009 02:51

Alright readers...I love Phyllis and Will and Tori and everyone else on the blog team...but last night we were bitter enemies!

Why? Oh, nothing really. Just DECIDING OUR LIVES FOR JANUARY - MAY.

As Phyllis wrote about in her last post, last night was the night for Spring registration for freshmen without AP credits or who aren't Rutgers athletes / student trainers. I can't wait for next year so I can be the jerk that steals World Mythology or Intro To The Study Of Language from some poor freshie. Lol.

I've been through at least eight schedules since Saturday, and all I have to say is thank God for the Course Scheduling Planner! It allows you to toy around with possible schedules and hopefully find something that suits you (which, if you're a normal college student, that means no classes before 12PM and no Friday classes. Which I actually had before it was stolen from me by some b**** a** *****. Ugh.). So on Wednesday, I had my last Bio Lab on Busch until 9:30, so I vowed not to leave the Busch Student Center until I was registered into a decent schedule.

So there I was, sitting in the Fireside Lounge with screamo music blasting from my laptop and my index finger hovering over the mouse clicker. My laptop was plugged in and set to "High Performance". At 9:58 PM on the dot (because 10PM obviously means hit "Register" at 9:58 or 9:59, trust me), HI- YA!

....... "Your request is processing, this may take up to 4 minutes."

And then...it was over. Seriously! One-hit KO! I love it. So behold...my Spring schedule.

MONDAY

9:15AM - 10:35AM = Dance Appreciation

3:20PM - 4:40PM = Writing In The Professions (Pre-Med)

TUESDAY

12PM - 1:20PM = Bio 102

5:35PM - 6:55PM = PreCalc 111

WEDNESDAY

9:15AM - 10:35AM = Dance Appreciation

3:20PM - 4:40PM = Writing In The Professions

6:40PM - 9:30PM = Bio Lab

THURSDAY

2:30PM - 3:25PM = PreCalc Recitation

5:35PM - 6:55PM = PreCalc

FRIDAY

12PM - 1:20PM = Bio

Personally, I think it's pretty decent...only one morning class, only one Friday class, NO MOTHERF****** EXPOS, and Dance Appreciation is supposed to be an easy A. I mean, better this than to still be up in front of WebReg, crying because every time you register for a class, it doesn't go through because someone else registers for it RIGHT BEFORE YOU DO. That sucks. Honestly, the only thing that bothers me is that Dance Appreciation is on Douglass, so I have to wake up between 7 or 8...and yes Lee, that IS the crack of dawn when you go to college...to take a REXL or an LX / L --> EE / F to class. I don't even know where the building is (Nicholas Music Center. Help!)! And, of course ODASIS is going to try and take over my life again. The program is good but it's so time-consuming! T_T

So, to my fellow classmates still fighting for that perfect schedule...it's 3:30AM on the next day so you're pretty much screwed anyway...but good luck! Lots of love.

PS - Thanks Lee for now requiring our readers to crack a CAPTCHA Code before commenting our work. It's so disappointing seeing that you have a new comment, only to find out that it's from some creeper organization trying to sell you diet pills. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY, HUH PUNK? I'M NOT FAT! I'M BIG BONEDED! Hahaha. :-)

Oh, Phyllis. Commenting on my blog to promote the image that we have interactive readers. Bless you.

My CAPTCHA...for my own blog, of course... is "we khakis". And yeah, where would I be without Expos. Who needs sleep, anyway? Wink

My captcha is beloved veronese.  . . .  Wink

I do remember that 8 AM seemed early when I was an undergrad.  How fast that happens, eh?  After all, weren't we all in homeroom by like 7:15 AM in high school?!

Yeah...waking up at 6AM to be in homeroom at 8:15 is easy in high school...yet waking up at 10AM for a five minute walk Expos at 10:20 is ridiculous. What happened to our lives? Lol.
