Greetings everyone! Despite finals going on, there has been a lot going on around here.
On Monday, Honors Advisory Board and Honors Student Organization went out the $1 bowling. The entry fee was a dollar, shoe rental was a dollar, each game was a dollar, some drinks were a dollar, etc. It was a good time and I've never bowled so badly or seen so many soft pretzels eaten. I attribute my poor bowling to the 9PM-12AM time slot, but hey, that's what college kids do.
During Tuesday afternoon, I went to the Gay Straight Alliance's second meeting at a local restaurant called The Victor's. We finally have a GSA and I'm secretary! Look forward to hearing more about the group next semester.
On Tuesday night there was a Midnight Breakfast. In sum, on Tuesday there was a pre-breakfast party starting at 8 PM in the dorms with snacks, stress ball making and hanging out. Then, around 10 stress relief including free massages, started on campus. Then, at 12 free breakfast, I know there were waffles, was served. I wish I could've went, hung out, and took some pictures for you all, but I had a final the next day. In my opinion, getting enough rest is pertinent to doing well on finals.
Finally, I had my first and next to last final. It was a tough one, and I really hope I did well.
Now I'm going to address a question received from a blog reader: "WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A RUTGERS STUDENT???"
Well, to get the best answer to this question, I suggest reading the blog posts. My short answer for Rutgers Camden is that college is a lot like summer camp if you major in what you love and live on campus. You get up early and do mainly what you like, and some of what you don't like. You eat questionable food and many consider pizza the best option. You stay up later than mom and dad would ever let you, and have a lot more independence.
Now, I'm going to show you what your summer camp didn't have. The brand new Rutgers Camden gym. I'm there A LOT. A lot of people I do not know randomly ask me if I'm "going to work out" that day, and I find out they saw me exercising at the gym. Now I need to get these people to stop being shy and talk to me at the gym. Then it could be a new social hub. I know I posted about the gym before, but I have pictures now, so I'm going to give you a tour.

Most people start at the locker room. They are new, and clean, and the showers tell you what temperature the water is!

Here's where a lot of the cardio machines are. I never have to wait for a machine!

Take your mind off your aching quads and watch some television while running.

Weight machines and free weights

More weight machines

More free weights

Rowing machines

The natorium: it's like a wave pool for swimming. My friend says it's quite a work out. I haven't tried it yet because I don't feel the need to swim when it's cold outside.

A racquetball court. We also have a squash court.

The aerobics room. We have weekly classes in here. I've only been to yoga. I came late so I was stuck up front to make everyone feel better about themselves. It was still a good time, though.
Alright, I have one final left: BIOLOGY. I need to go study. Good luck everyone!
