The blizzard which made my life better

by Will T. 10. February 2010 17:37

I'm pretty sure that when everyone on the Rutgers campuses heard there was no school for Wednesday Feb 10 there were at least 10,000 residents screaming for joy. Probably more. And I was one of them. The childhood joys of having a snow day was such a thing of the past: Elementary school, Middle School, High school. But not college. And honestly, the snow was something everyone really needed. Sure, we all just had Winter Break, but any opportunity to have a little non-skipping-class break is welcome. On top of that, I know at least 20 people who are battling colds, or worse. This gives everyone a time to just relax.

And then, news #2 came. The first class periods for Thursday Feb 11 are cancelled. And my first reaction was "SOMEONE LOVES ME!!" I NEED a break, and thanks to this blizzard I get two days of relaxation and complete junk-food love fest.

Blizzard '10, on behalf of the Rutgers population, I salute you.

Ugh, I wish they just canceled the whole day tomorrow! I don't even have classes during the first periods; FML.

Too bad Douglass is now a dangerous campus with its fallen trees, ice, poorly plowed paths, giant snow clumps...
