I do not stop for snow, but this week classes did. Rutgers Camden closed Wednesday and Thursday, and my professor cancelled my Friday class. Snow days make all of the cold weather here in New Jersey worth it. Although campus shut down, Rutgers Camden residents, including myself kept busy. A snow man building contest with RU Express prize money ensued, students toiled in 2 AM snow ball fights, Floor 5 of the towers built an igloo, and we caught up on our studies and sleep.

Instead of class, I spent Friday in the Neurology laboratory learning how to make a new kind of electron. I can do every part of the process well besides breaking the class at the top to make an opening. I press the tip too hard and the opening ends up too big. By the end of the week, I hope to refine my technique and observe another fish experiment.

On Friday night, Residence Life held their weekly Karaoke Night. I admire that Residence Life holds alcohol and drug free events because students shoul
d not have to drink or do drugs to have a good time at college. I certainly do not. You can count on Rutgers Camden to hold sober events if you do not drink or do drugs, and people do throw parties if you are into other things. Of course, Rutgers does not codone illegal activity and we have a large fleet of security.

Anyway, Karaoke Night became Rock Band Night because the Karaoke machine was on the fritz. That was fine with me. I love Rock Band. I had to leave early to study the wonders of digestion, but I am really glad I swung by. I met some new people and had a good time. Karaoke night is every Friday night at Residence and I will definitely consider going back next Friday.
Speaking of studying digestion and Biology in general, below is my digestion diagram. I learn well visually. When it comes to Biology class, I find I need to find creative ways to study because there is an abundance of information to learn.

Also, here's a video of me entering the towers side of Residence Life to go to Karaoke. I apologize that the video is shaky.
That's all for now from relaxed and revived Jen!
