...I'm back!!!

by System Administrator 9. March 2010 12:07

I hope you haven't forgotten about me since I haven't posted a blog entry in a while. I also haven't had time to do glamorous photoshoots like John or David did, or time to eat a proper meal, or sleep, or take my yoga class. But! That is going to change because after Wednesday, I will be exam free for a couple of weeks. I've had a midterm every week for the past 5 weeks. Not that I'm complaining at all because my exams were spread out instead of crunched into 1 week, but after tomorrow-- a huge weight will be lifted off my shoulders (yay!). For those who are thinking about taking 6 classes, the exams tend have a domino effect...

Anyways, Douglass had its annual Overnight Weekend for Admitted Students. There were about 50 prospective Rutgers students visiting Douglass Residential College. It was a lot of fun talking about college/life/etc... and surreal at the same time since I attended this event last year as a high school senior.

I still have an exam tomorrow (Chem 162 is the bane of my existence...), so I need to keep this entry short.

I wish you all a happy spring break with warm, sunny weather. I'll be in West Virginia on Alternative Spring Break (yay!).

Below are photos from a baking party in preparation for the Douglass Orientation Committee's fundraising bake sale.

Hey
quick question on housing...
im still decinding between colleges since i havent heard back from some of them yet. but i saw on the rutgers website that the housing lottery has already taken place and that the douglass dorm application time is already up. did i seriously miss the deadline? or is this for current students?
when should i start the housing applications if i do decide on rutgers? (and especially since i wanted bunting cobb if i did decide on this school)
thanks for all ur help

Sara, if you choose Douglass Residential College, try to get in your application by April. There is a separate Bunting-Cobb application. If you choose other campuses, get it in asap (apps have started) or else you'll be put on Livingston. DRC has separate process so don't worry about not having a place to live yet.

I love how you rip on Livi all the time...when you know our student center kills yours. Lol.

Sara,

The lottery was for current students.  If you're admitted and enrolling for the fall, you can access the housing application through the Enrollment Pathway:

David, are you living on Livi next year?

HELL NO. I'll probably end up in a double on Cook cuz I got screwed out of Busch Apartments / Suites. Lol. I don't want to live on College Avenue because I think it would get in the way of the intense studying I have to do.

Cook is a really nice campus. I'm staying on Douglass. Although I'll probably move to either Busch or CA for my third year to ease my commute Tong

Yeah, I'll probably do that if I don't end up commuting next year. It's just that as a pre-med, I doubt a lot of my classes will be on Cook...

Taking the REXB is a such a pain but if your next year's schedule looks like:
Chem, Calc, Chem Lab, Psych
then those are offered on Douglass anyway.

So I talked to my mom this morning and she says I can dorm at RU next year. Hopefully I'll see you on Cook guys! Or should I room on Douglass? -__- ?

My favorite blogger, how could I forget about you? The cupcakes look so tasty. How did the bake sale go?

David: Yay, room on Douglass! Smile

Justine: Aw, thank you! The bake sale went well. Esp. those cupcakes because I decorated them - j/k.
