Being at home is sooo boring. But being at Rutgers over the weekend is probably equally boring, if not worse. Talk about lose-lose!
So, taking a break from Facebook / AIM / Formspring / Project 64 / Halo / America's Best Dance Crew, let's talk about the 2010 CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Awards.
A couple of weeks ago, I was referred to Undergraduate Admissions to be a student judge for the Recruitment Videos competition of the CASE Awards. Basically, me and a team of 7 other (old) people judged about 30 college recruitment videos in two hours on Monday. Some of them were great and excited me, while others were huge epic fails and I wonder how those schools get students. And then there was ONE college that totally bit Rutgers' ideas in their video...but I won't say any names...*cough* Rama-SLOW *cough*.
Also, on Monday night, I was able to choose my housing for this fall! My choices were between Livingston, College Avenue, and Cook / Douglass. While College Ave. is (and probably will always be), "the party campus", that doesn't mean I necessarily want to live there. As a Pre-Med student, I definitely have a lot of work to do, and having people walk into my hallway drunk...at 3AM...on a Monday...doesn't really help me out. Props to CAC students who get good grades, though. I didn't want to live on Livi. again, so now I'm gonna be in New Gibbons B-6 next year. New Gibbons is even closer to its bus stop then the Quads are, and I don't have to walk as far to catch a REXB or REXL, since I can take a EE or F to the College Hall stop and wait there for my ride. Plus, the New Gibbons student lounge is totally gorgeous.
On Thursday night, I (reluctantly) attended the Loree Student Dance Show. Our very own Will was one of the performers, in all of his topless glory (that kid is JACKED). Dance Appreciation really needs to send the class to more hip-hop / street jazz shows...like Main Event on the 10th! <333 Can't wait.
Anyway people, you won't be hearing from me again until Monday! I have to study hardcore for the 11th's Bio midterm, plus I'm going to Main Event, and possibly China Nite XV after the Bio exam (7PM at the Rutgers Student Center, I believe that tickets are $20). But guess what...CLASS REGISTRATION IS BACK...expect all of us to tell you about our horror stories...the war starts on April 4th at 10PM (aka 9:58) and ends on the 17th. So I'll see you all later and HAPPY EASTER!!!
PS - I'm turning 19 on Tuesday! YAY. XD
More videos?!
^ For the small price of playing a musical instrument in front of the class, you can earn 3 extra credit points in Intro To Music!
^ Watch the most amazing, awesome, cool, super-duper beautiful girl in Bunting-Cobb get crazy! (PS - Please excuse the sexist comment! Lol.)
