In College, Summer Starts in April

In college, you will feel like summer starts in April. The weather gets nice, people start playing frisbee and wiffle ball during the day, and jail break at night. Sometimes, people will blast loud music right outside the dorms and throw dance parties. I think security stopped that though. This week was pretty busy. We did an experiment with a butterfly fish where we put an electrode in it's brain and ended up finding an acoustic neuron that responded to m e saying "hello fish", or just clapping. And on Friday, got my Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity poster printed out via a massive printer hiding in the office of the language lab and I met the new Rutgers Camden NJPIRG coordinator, who seems nice and competent.  Q-STEP also moved into our new building. I'll have better pictures of it next week, but here's one:

And let's go outside:

This week was also the Gay Straight Alliance Co-Sponsored 4th Annual Drag Show. We got a really nice showing, and everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. Plus, the Gay Straight Alliance got some new potential members. It's nice to go to an accepting school who knows how to have a good time.

I'm posting at 6:05 AM on a Saturday, because I am about to head off to the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art Festival! I received a press pass. Frank Miller (of 300, Sin City, and The Spirit fame) will be there, so maybe I can even get an interview with him. Either way, I'm really excited to do press for my first big convention. It wouldn't be possible if not for meeting a comics writer here at Rutgers Camden in the English Students Organization. I may even get an internship out of it. Alright, I'm going to dump some more photos and then get out of here.
