Hello blogosphere! I have successfully survived all five of my final exams and two final papers. In retrospect, I don't know how it was all possible, and it's mainly a blur now. Now that the semester is wrapped up, I'll be heading home tomorrow. I already moved 25% of my stuff back home because one car trip was certainly not going to contain all the junk I've accumulated over the past two semesters.

This will be my last blog entry that I type up on my wooden dorm desk (I will post a few updates throughout the summer). I really enjoyed freshmen year and the chance to share some of my experiences with prospective students interested in Rutgers or those just interested a taste of college life. Thank you to the Admissions team, especially Lee our amazing blogging coordinator, for this opportunity (and for lunch at Sapporo amidst busy finals week to keep me in touch with reality!).

Being a blogger has definitely encouraged me to get involved on campus, take more photos, attend more events, notice great things about the school, write more confidently, see things in a different light. I hope incoming freshmen apply to become bloggers for next year. And David is right... we'll be choosing the next team of bloggers. Feel free to send bribes to my PO box. Just kidding! Seriously, though, think about writing for the Rutgers Student Blogs. It's fun :)

I have learned a lot in such a short amount of time. I've learned so much about myself, and I realized this is only the beginning.

Wishing everyone a wonderful summer.

Phyllis,

Thank YOU!  I shall look forward to your summer updates and to working with you and David (and John and Jennifer?) to choose the next team.  Next year's bloggers have a really "tough act to follow"!

Phyllis,

Thanks so much for your great blogs this year! You obviously helped a lot of students with their decisions, especially those contemplating joining Douglass.
I wish you all the best in the future!
