Did You Know That 70% of Women Wear the Wrong Bra Size?

by System Administrator 3. June 2010 16:18

Hey there readers and...hm, I wonder if I could even address the rest of the blog team at this point...my name is David, and I am one of the newest employees at Victoria's Secret.

Yes, they hire men. No, I'm not gay.

So yeah, like three weeks ago I was in the mall filling out applications, and for no reason whatsoever, I walked into VS and applied for a job. A week later I had a group interview, and yesterday was my first shift. First, they made me watch a video for like two hours on the company's history and policies (which I assure you was extremely boring, except for how to measure bra sizes and the Four Types of Breasts). After that, I got a quick tour of the store, then I was assigned to sticking security tags on panties for the rest of my time there. Not bad, honestly. The funny thing is, it was after work when I went to Barnes & Noble when I saw a cute girl (Emo Asian in the manga aisle, WIN). God sure has a great sense of humor.

Once again, it's a new semester with brand new classes. Here's the rundown on what I'm dealing with at Brookdale Community College for the next ten weeks:

GENERAL CHEMISTRY I - PROFESSOR ERIC GOLL

I'm super glad that Professor Goll is the cool dude I read about on RateMyProfessors about a month ago. Here's the first thing me and my fellow RU students in this class realized - lecture is ridiculously small. After listening to Dr. Martin speak into a microphone to 300+ people in ARC 103, it was kind of wierd going back to a high school classroom - sized class for a science lecture. There can't be more than 30 other college kids (and slightly-too-old-for-college kids) in this class, which is cool because there's not really much of a rush, plus there's even time for a couple of jokes every now and then. The other difference between BCC and RU lectures is that Brookdale teachers go on for about 2 hours and 45 minutes - but here's the catch: THERE'S A 10 MINUTE BREAK IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS! I'll testify right now, me and plenty of other students were so shocked by the idea of a break during class that we just went to the bathroom, came back and sat down, still too stunned to take full advantage of the free time. Totally awesome.

CHEM LAB - BARBARA SCHMIDT

Barbara is a pretty nice lady, but still doesn't take any crap from anyone. Kind of like the badass grandma that everyone is glad they know, but is also happy that it's not THEIR grandma. Although lab is for three and a half hours and we're required to STAND, we're allowed to peace out as soon as we're finished with our assignment, which is cool because my lab partner and I killed it with an hour to spare. The catch is that NO extra time is granted, because Barbara teaches another class in Freehold right after ours, so she has to leave as soon as the clock hits 12:30 (that's right, class starts at 9AM. Ew.)

It's funny that I'm now a student at Brookdale, when most every high school kid in Monmouth County makes fun of people who end up enrolling there, as opposed to a "real college" (like Rutgers). But hey, they bathrooms are clean, the teachers I have are chill, and so far I'm not having any problems. So far, so good.

Not catchy enough apparently, since it took you 3 days to say something...I knew I should have went with the other fun fact in the VS video! Wink

I was away, David, in the woods without electricity.  No kidding. I had to go into town to a coffee shop to get WiFi to even comment. (Yes, of course I missed you.)
