The first days--in pictures!

This was taken for the reception held after the SASHP attended Mary Doria Russell's lecture... yummy food and new friends! Us DRC ladies had a bus waiting for us so we got to leave early to FINALLY attend our first Douglass event--Bingo!

Our table didn't win anything, haha.

My roommate, Gabby, posing in front of the massive exodus to Neilson when the buses took too long.

How cool is that? I officially loved the marching band after this. RU Rah Rah!

This amused me very much. I can't remember who exactly he is--the real Scarlet Knight?! How cool is that?

Preparing for Throwdown! Our team was composed of four very tiny groups--Jameson H, Woodbury, Bunting-Cobb, and Henderson. Despite being tinier than any of the other dorms (whole), we won!!! :D It was a blast and it made me see how much DRC Pride everyone has, and how supportive we are of each other. It's a real community. You'd have to experience it to understand us :)

Involvement Fair! I am overwhelmed because I want to do EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING!

A sea of red at the first Rutgers home game! I had never been to a football game in my life until last Thursday, and it was actually really fun. I had no idea what was going on, but that was the first time I ever felt real unified "school pride" with everyone chanting the same things and cheering our team on to victory.

Being the dedicated English major that I am, I walked around both Douglass and College Ave to find the printing labs for when I need to print out the 230823098 pages of reading I'll eventually have to do. I found that the lovely Stacks in Alexander Library on College Ave = great place to concentrate. I LOVE libraries!

I went to the Zimmerli for the first time on Saturday. Museums (especially when they are free) are great. I am easily amused.

I hope you guys enjoyed this :D
Today is Labor Day--a.k.a. a day off to relax/organize/and readreadread.
I'm also going to the first day of Rush for a sorority tonight--I'll let you know how it all goes!
