As I type this, it is raining and thundering. I will be seriously missing my sandal tanlines very soon. Good excuse to stay inside and finish my Expos paper, I suppose. . .except that I'm using this post to procrastinate on it. :P
So, before I write anything of academic significance:

Do you see Mr. Beetle up there? Yep, a bit gross but a bit cool, huh? As I look at the surface of my window now, Mr. Beetle has since then moved to a new location several inches away and has invited two of his friends to perch, rather contentedly I would suppose, on the window as well. Or maybe it is a new Mr. Beetle. The triplet do all seem a tad smaller than the one pictured, but I can't say I've really gotten close enough to look.

And what exactly is this? (If you can tell from the tiny pictures where I tried to helpfully circle the Unknown Animal in what else but Paint.) It was like a cross between a beaver and a squirrel and it was quite awfully adorable. I tried to creep up on it to get a better, closer shot, but it fled into a hole in the ground and from my life and camera lens.
So, now that I have addressed some of the notably different wildlife around here, here's my schedule for pharmacy (I'm not waiving anything, so I'll update prospective students on my views on all the required classes at the end of the semester), in order of descending value of credits:
- General Biology (includes Bio Lab) - 4.0 credits
- General Chemistry - 4.0 credits
- Calculus I - 4.0 credits
- Expository Writing I - 3.0 credits
- Intro to Experimentation ("Chem Lab") - 1.0 credit
- Rutgers Sinfonia - 1.0 credit (I got in! I'm so excited to be geeking out to classical music once again.)
. . .for a total of 17.0 attempted credits! And hopefully it will be 17.0 achieved credits by the end of the semester! Huzzah! Know I just stupidly botched a calc quiz today, bleargh.
I'm already studying way more than I ever did in high school but it strangely doesn't bother me because I suppose it feels more fulfilling or worthwhile in college, heh. After all, now I'm working for what will be the rest of my life.
And I want to comment on Add/Drop week. After thinking for about five or six days that I wasn't going to change anything, I did end up moving things around to equalize my days and to put them primarily in the AM or earlier afternoon hours, thereby forcing myself to wake up reasonably early. I'm sure I will be having some serious self-hate issues soon, but for now, it's been okay. The whole adding classes thing was kind of exciting, sort of like a power trip almost, haha. Again, something I never did in high school. And, once I finished that all up, I printed out a new schedule. As you can see below, one was much more loved/relied upon. There was some serious comfort and reassurance for me in that piece of paper that gave me purpose and direction for a lot of hours and I can't even bring myself to recycle it. Maybe someday, like the end of the semester.

And now, I'm off to revel in the "IminCollegeIminCollegeIminCollege" feeling some more, as my pharmacy big sister so accurately called it, and perhaps finish my Expos paper. Oh, Expos, how much you interest yet frustrate me. And because I want to end on a positive note, following this is a picture of food (Neilson) which will hopefully distract you from the fact that I forgot to take pictures of more relevant things again this week!
