Oh the Places You'll Go...

When I was up in Vermont, my favorite thing was exploring the city - trying restaurants, coffee houses, farmers markets and the like (so I guess really my favorite thing was eating....) but I think that going into the city of Burlington was so wonderful because it was one of the only things to do. I was surprised when I realized three months into my first year of Rutgers that I had yet to really spend a day in the city of New Brunswick. Granted, I don't know know of any farmers markets in New Brunswick, but its different here. There's plenty to do, its a matter of fitting it all in, but thats for a different post. My mother is a graduate of Rutgers University (class of '83) and because of that I am quite used to the happenings of Easton Ave and what it has to offer but I was completely shocked when I found out that one of my friends had not EVER been to Stuff Yer Face. I always figured that whenever anyone was in New Brunswick they stopped at the stromboli shop, at least that's what I always did. So we immediately rectified the situation by taking a sporadic trip down to easton ave and stuffing our face. Which was followed by trip to Thomas Sweets for dessert! To anyone who is considering Rutgers (and I hope you all are) please do yourself a favor and stop by these two eating establishments. They are, at least for me, part of the quintessential Rutgers experience.
