Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Finals

by carolanns 5. December 2010 10:35

Hello All

Sorry I haven't written in a while, it as been (as Dorothy described) crunch time and I have been very, very busy. Finals are in two weeks and while that may seem like a long ways away, its not. I have more notecards to make than is humanly possible gah!

I have also lost my phone. Yes my little connection to the outside world is gone and I no longer have anything to do in class (besides listen intently and take notes of course). I went to a meeting on my floor on Thursday where I am sure I had it, and then after that meeting it was gone! Lost, no where to be found. Sigh. Luckily, because of facebook and good'ole one-on-one conversations I don't really miss it that much but it does make scheduling meals quite difficult.

Enough sob story, moving on...

Last night was the Voorhees' Candlelit Winter Concert and it went splendidly. I was extremely proud of all of us women who really came together and produced a glorious conglomeration of music. I was even more excited by how many people came to watch us! The ENTIRE Voorhee's chapel was filled. FILLED. It's a large building. I definitely wasn't expecting to see such a turnout but apparently this concert is a tradition for many families. As everyone was leaving, many people told me about their children who graduated a long time ago but used to be in Voorhees and because of that they continue to come to the concert year after year and support us. It was a wonderful feeling to know that people with no connection to you support you because of what you do. I am so happy I joined a choir at Rutgers.

Ok well thats about all I have time for today (I think Peggy is also going to blog about the concert if you have a hankering for details =] )

Good luck to everyone with finals - although I'm sure I'll write again soon.
