18 inches of snow + trip to College ave = epic pictures!

Heyy all!

As you night have noticed, the sky decided to open up,for the 7th time this season, and drop over a foot of snow onto the awaiting students. The last time I remember praying for a snow day was in high school (like that was sooo long ago ). The snow started late Tuesday night and continued into Wednesday. When I awoke and looked out side, everything was white and the snow was rapidly falling. I looked at my roommate, she looked back at me and we both started laughing. There was NO way that we would have classes all day if this kept up. Thank god that both of us didn't have class until 4. Otherwise we would have been miserable. as the day wore on we kept seeing the plows struggle to keep up with the snow fall. one would go past and in 5 minutes, the path would be covered yet again. When my roommate heard more and more ambulances go by due to the amount of car accidents, we began to wonder why Rutgers was taking so long to give the word. 2 minutes later, McCormick announced that the university would cease operation at 4:30pm. Excited, we proceeded to tell all of our friends and make plans for the night.

The scene from my room @ 8pm wasn't the usual emptiness as a result of our mutual classes, but was filled by 9 excited girls huddled around the screen watching a movie. It was a great time that I wish would happen more often. At 8:30 my friends Sam, Paige(fellow blogger), and Christine boarded the EE to College Ave. Paige and I were tagging along, serving as encouragement to Sam and Christine. Both of them were nervous because they were headed to audition for OrphanSporks, a university A capella.

Sadly when we arrived, we found out that the auditions were postponed till tomorrow due to snow. Defeated, we trudged back into the cold only to discover the BEAUTIFUL surroundings. In the end we turned a disappointing night into a fun, snowball fight. Being the opportunist I am, I pulled out the camera i take everywhere and took some pictures. I hope you enjoy them. snow at night emulates a sense of peace that I have yet to find elsewhere.

Great pictures.  The snow is really pretty when it is falling and fresh and untouched.
