Don't even read this. It makes no sense!

I know, I know---before you even say it, I know. I haven't written in FOREVER. I was been sick, yet again. But I was really sick! I had to go to the doctor and everything!! Still, though, I'm the worst blogger ever. Feel free to vilify me in the comments. I'm really ready for this semester to be over. College is...well, it's college, with all the good things and the bad things that entails. When I came here in the beginning of the year, I was convinced that college was going to be this magical happy land of puppies! And daises! And milkshakes for every meal! And everyone is going to be a poet and we're going to read Renaissance poetry to each other as a bedtime story! The reality has been...not awful. Just different. For instance, today I found out that the Linguistics class I'm in is 201. Not 101, aka Linguistics for Dummies. 201. As in, LINGUISTICS FOR LINGUISTICS MAJORS. Don't ask me how it took me until MARCH to realize this. I don't have an answer for you. But it made me realize that there's no safety net in college. NONE. I'm going to have to struggle through this class all on my own. I mean, I have a professor, of course. But this mistake (the taking of a class that is SO FAR BEYOND ME, SERIOUSLY GUYS IT MIGHT AS WELL BE QUANTUM MECHANICS OR THE HISTORY OF THE GLOCKENSPIEL FOR ALL I KNOW ABOUT IT) is my own. And I have to fix. ON MY OWN. Forgive me if I'm freaking out. But I don't want this blog to be a thorny nest of emo, so we shall move onto happier things! My other classes are really difficult this semester, but I like a challenge. Sometimes they're really strange though. In my Theater of France class, for instance, we had to act out a scene from one of the plays we read, and one guy brought in a sock puppet. And now my friend Olivia and I are also considering making sock puppets for our next workshop. SOCK PUPPETS. In college. Yeah. I've been having "Is this REALLY my life?!!" moments more and more frequently throughout the last semester. Finally, and most importantly, my sister came to visit this weekend, and her presence was the source of many "Is this really my life?!" moments! Don't tell her, but I secretly love when she comes to visit. She's the most fun person I know, despite the fact that her Christmas list consisted of 500-page political tomes and sensible Talbot's sweaters. We went out to a frat party (of course), and she once again proved that somehow, she is more popular at Rutgers than I am. I hope she decides to come here when she graduates, but her interests lie more in D.C. than North Jersey. So. I apologize for the lack of coherence, but my life hasn't been very coherent lately. I promise I'll make up for it in my next post!
