Today was awesome for several reasons:
1) I skipped class for the first time all summer and therefore didn't sit through a 3 hour Biology lecture (DON'T skip class, btw. Justifications for my absence below...)
2) Went to Rutgers instead, RU RAH RAH
3) Got together with the other bloggers, Lee, Jennifer H., and the admissions interns Sandra and Heidi for some chill time
4) Reviewed applications for the 2011-2012 Rutgers Student Blogger team
5) STUFFED MY FACE (@ Stuff Yer Face, which if you haven't experienced yet, YOU WILL)
6) Got to celebrate with Heidi (who is also my sorority sister) on her birthday!
7) Made a feathered headband similar to the one I bought and lost in England
8) Bumped into some of my high school friends on the way to Stuff Yer Face
9) Decided I am going SKYDIVING with my Big for her birthday in September
10) Got all caught up on Degrassi <33333333333333333 x's 239283091
Well, you probably only really care about reason #4. Hence the bold status on it.
Muhahaha, I have the inside scoop and you don't. >:]
(Anyone do #9?! I'm seriously asking here... talk me out of it/encourage me!)
Needless to say--I am excited and confident that the next group of bloggers will bring it hard. (Well, not too hard. Know thyself!)
Congratulations!
I can't wait to read what you are all about to experience as new students at Rutgers. And comment on your posts ;) And possibly surprise you at your meet ups.
Embrace this opportunity and remember you are only getting this "new" year once. What a fabulous (and extremely public) way to document it!!! Take full advantage. Take pictures, write blogs even if you feel like no one is reading (but trust me, the world wants to hear your voice), make videos for us, take some risks and challenge yourself. Rock Rutgers and make your mark.
And I'm sure one day you'll all look awesome in the shirts we are sporting below:

This wasn't all of us unfortunately :(
Back row: Peggy, Dave
Front row: Nagma, CarolAnn, Yours Truly, Melissa
While I am sad to pass down the torch, I'm also elated to know that I'm moving on and moving forward with my Rutgers career. I had an amazing first year at Rutgers--I wouldn't trade my experience for one anywhere else. I wouldn't change anything about it, and I'm glad I'll have this blog to look back on. My summer is quickly coming to a close--and in 9 short days I'll be sitting in Jameson again, greeting all the new students, feeling like time whipped by. Indeed it did, but I enjoyed every second of it.
Will write my goodbye soon!
