In high school everyone knew that the best day was Friday. TGIF: Everyone talks about it, including Katy Perry so you know it's a big deal. And sure, in college Friday rocks because it means the end of a long week of classes and homework and the beginning of sleeping until noon after a night on the town BUT Friday is not the best day of the week. The height of my week is Hump Day, aka Wednesday. Today was an especially great Wednesday and this is for several reasons:
1. This is a biggie: I DON'T HAVE ANY CLASSES! Of the people I've met so far, I am one of the few and lucky freshmen that has a completely free day during the week and honestly, I can't imagine not having a chill day. Incoming freshmen remember this: Move your schedule around any way possible to get a free day. It will be the best thing you will ever do...even better than drinking a Liviccino (part hot chocolate, part coffee) at the Coffeehouse.
Honestly, after that I don't think I need to give any more reasons, but Wednesdays are just so awesome I need to keep going...
2. I have my yoga class on Wednesdays! Before I signed up for my class, I never really did yoga, but my since I'm a fragile little flower and have scholiosis, I figured Core yoga would be a smart thing for me to do. It's so perfect because it's relaxing but it's also a workout so I don't feel the need to go to the gym (big plus). It's also fun so it sure beats napping like a lazy bum for five hours.
3. My day usually revolves around the Medium which comes out every Wednesday. If you don't know what the Medium is or you've seen them around but never picked one up, FIND ONE RIGHT NOW. I mean it: go to whatever student center is closest to you and get yourself a copy. I promise you won't regret it. The Medium is the entertainment newspaper of Rutgers and I consider it the print version of SNL. Just to give you a taste, the front page had an article about Steve Jobs's death. Headline: National Humor Council Declares Steve Jobs Jokes 'Too Soon.' No one is safe from the Medium.
4. Modern Family is on at 9 and yes, I schedule my night aroud watching it. Cameron and Mitchell forever <3
5. Did I mention I don't have any classes?
Basically, Wednesday = Heaven. The sad part is it's 11:59 now so when I publish this it will be Thursday and this entire post will be insignificant. Yup, it just turned 12. Welcome to Thursday, aka the worst day of the week. That's a rant for another day.
