There have been plenty a Halloween that have been inconvenienced by the cold, but Mother Nature has taken it to a new level. I'd like to see the metreological record of past Halloweens, but I am pretty sure that snow is no where near a regular for this holiday. Don't think I'm a Frosty hater; I love the snow. However, when Old Man Winter decides that to ruin the well laid plans of a Rutgers student body with costumes in hand, I take issue with that.
I suppose that there is one upside to this snow: anyone who is celebration confused and chooses to be Santa Clause for Halloween is in luck this year.
But now that I've sufficiently vented, I'll say that this storm is interesting for me on a few levels. It's my first bit of experience with the snow here at Rutgers, and thus I'll learn a few things: how quickly the university clears the roads and sidewalks, how well prepared I am for the weather (and so far I've found that I'm not), and possibly how classea are affected by it. And who knows, maybe a Halloween session of snowball fights and sledding is in order. When life gives you lemons, right?
