NJ Transfer
Make a Smooth Transition

Good news for community college students in New Jersey!  There’s a smooth road to Rutgers when you use NJ Transfer as your guide. As a prospective Rutgers student, you can use the NJ Transfer web site to determine whether a New Jersey community college course:
  • has a Rutgers equivalent
  • satisfies any general education requirements at Rutgers’ schools and colleges
  • satisfies any requirements of a major program of study at Rutgers
You can also use NJ Transfer to look up the Recommended Transfer Program (RTP) for any undergraduate program at Rutgers. What’s an RTP? It’s a list of major-specific courses that transfer students should complete during their freshman and sophomore years for a smooth transition to Rutgers.

NJ STARS Scholars
And the good news keeps coming: First, there was the NJ STARS scholarship program for exceptional high school students attending New Jersey community colleges. Now, there’s also the NJ STARS II scholarship program for successful NJ STARS graduates. NJ STARS scholars who earn their associate’s degree with a 3.25 or higher grade point average are eligible. NJ STARS II provides tuition assistance toward completing a bachelor’s degree at Rutgers and other four-year colleges and universities in New Jersey.
