Open House for Admitted Students
Rutgers-New Brunswick will host a special Open House for Admitted Students from 9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007. This is a great opportunity for you to talk to current Rutgers students, faculty, and staff members. NJ Professor of the Year
Barry V. Qualls, a highly popular Rutgers-New Brunswick English professor for 35 years (who also is serving as interim vice president for undergraduate education during the transformation of Rutgers-New Brunswick) has been named the 2006 New Jersey Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Professor Qualls joins two other Rutgers professors who have been honored by CASE as NJ Professor of the Year: mathematics professor Stephen J. Greenfield (2004) and history professor Clement A. Enrollment Pathway
The Enrollment Pathway is our convenient online guide to help incoming students manage their enrollment including placement testing, orientation and course registration, on-campus housing, final transcripts, required immunizations, billing, and more. To access the Enrollment Pathway, you first need to tell us you'll be enrolling at Rutgers by returning your Admission Acknowledgment Form to us online or by mail (ENROLL NOW). Then you can access the Enrollment Pathway by using your RUID number and PIN. |

News Flashes
Students enrolling at Rutgers-New Brunswick for fall 2007 whose critical reading SAT score is 600 and above will be exempt from taking Rutgers' placement test in English.
Rutgers-New Brunswick anthropology professor Robert Trivers has won the prestigious $500,000 Craaford Prize from the Royal Swedish Academy for his groundbreaking research into social evolution, conflict, and cooperation.
A team of Rutgers-New Brunswick undergraduates has won the Greater New York regional competition of the Association for Computing Machinery's international collegiate programming contest, beating schools such as Princeton, Columbia, and Cornell. The first-place Rutgers team will head to Tokyo in April for the world finals.
The Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick is the only New Jersey program ranked in Business Week's 2007 "The Best Undergraduate Business Schools" Report. Click here for more information.

Choosing Your Courses
You will be invited by your school of enrollment to a spring orientation/registration program where you will meet your academic adviser and choose your classes for your first semester (which will be a combination of required or core courses, courses in subject areas in which you are interested, and courses in subjects you're interested in exploring). After your first semester, you wil be able to register for classes yourself through Rutgers' convenient online registration system. |

First-Year Seminars
One of the most exciting aspects of the Rutgers-New Brunswick reorganization is the introduction of special one-credit seminars for first-year students that will be offered by some of university's top professors (as well as Rutgers' President) beginning this fall. These courses are intended to acquaint students with senior faculty, interdisciplinary study, cutting-edge research, and life at a major research university.
