Candidate's Reply Date

May 1 is rapidly approaching and soon your students will be making their final decisions about where they will begin their college education. In order to guarantee a seat in our incoming class, all admitted students should accept our offer of admission by May 1. This can be done either online through their status screen or by retuning the Admission Acknowledgment Form included in their admission packet. An enrollment fee of $150 will also be required. Once they have enrolled, please encourage your students to visit the Enrollment Pathway. This online resource provides detailed information about the steps required to finalize students' enrollment at Rutgers.

Self-Reported Academic Record -- Required for Fall 2010

We are approaching the conclusion of our first admissions cycle using the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) and we are happy to report that this new initiative has proven to be a success. By submitting the SRAR, the majority of this year’s first-year applicants were able to complete their applications faster and more efficiently than previous years’ applicants. Because of this success, all first-year applicants for fall 2010 will be required to submit the SRAR with their applications.

High school students can create a SRAR account at anytime during their high school career. Please encourage your students to create a SRAR account early so they can track their academic progress throughout high school and better prepare for our application process. Because we ask students to obtain a copy of their unofficial transcript to use as a reference when completing the SRAR, you may begin to see a rise in unofficial transcript requests.

All enrolling students are required to submit final official transcripts of all course work completed by July 10, 2009. We prefer to receive these transcripts as early as possible to avoid delays in the enrollment process.

Waiting List Status

It is important for students who have been placed on a waiting list to keep their files current by submitting updated senior grades as they become available.  If we determine that we have space for additional students, we will review all those on the waiting list and select from among them.

Students who have been offered admission to another school within Rutgers University, should accept that offer while they remain on the waiting list in order to guarantee a seat in our incoming class. All waiting list students will be notified regarding their final status no later than early July.
