| Self-Reported Academic Record RequiredAll first-year applicants for fall 2010 will be required to submit the SRAR with their applications. Quarterly and mid-year transcripts should not be sent unless requested by the admissions office. You can access the SRAR from our counselors' website. The site will also indicate whether or not your students’ SRARs have been received. Preview the SRAR here. High school students can create a SRAR account at any time during their high school careers. Please encourage your students to create a SRAR account early so they can track their academic progress through high school and better prepare for our application process. Because we ask students to obtain a copy of their unofficial transcript to use as a reference when completing the SRAR, you may begin to see a rise in unofficial transcript requests. Back to Top | |

| New Jersey Smart IDEffective March 2007, all public schools in New Jersey are required to include their students' NJ Smart ID (SID) on all transcripts and other student records. Students attending private or non-NJ schools will not have a SID. As Rutgers is now required to collect a SID for its applicants, we ask students to provide this number when completing our application. Our application directs students to their guidance counselor if they do not know their SID. Back to Top | |

| 2010 Scholarship UpdateUniversity aid and scholarships of varying amounts are available to bright and talented students who choose Rutgers for their college education. During the 2008-2009 academic year, more than $119 million in aid was allocated to first-year students. In the fall of 2008, almost 1300 incoming students received University merit awards, representing about $10.5 million in merit aid. Merit awards are competitive and are allocated based on available funding.
Financial need will be one of the many factors considered during our scholarship review process for fall 2010 applicants; therefore, all students seeking merit scholarships are encouraged to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in early January 2010. Please encourage students to visit our scholarship website for more information about Rutgers scholarships. Back to Top | |
