Create Your Rutgers Info Packet
Many schools purchase the names of students whose SAT or ACT scores and interests match the admissions profile or major offerings on their campus. That is one reason students get so many college brochures they don't remember requesting and are not interested in reviewing. At Rutgers University, we have created the perfect solution to the college mail problem. We give students and parents the opportunity to create their own information packets. Not only can you customize your packet to your child's academic interests, you also can include extracurricular activities and pictures that might appeal to him. You can create an unlimited number of information packets at no cost. Create one now by visiting http://infopacket.admissions.rutgers.edu

Visit Rutgers' Public Safety website for comprehensive information about the university's many public safety programs, and "Safety Matters" that shows our campuses to be very safe living and learning environments.

Rutgers offers students a lot of opportunities and advising to help them make the most informed choices about their future, whether through internships, research opportunities, specialty advising (such as premed and prelaw), or faculty advising. Career Services helps students choose a major, find an internship, or determine if graduate or professional school or employment would be the best route to take after graduation. Advice From Admissions
If your child is currently a high school sophomore or junior, now would be a good time to:
- Visit college campuses and websites.
- Review your child's transcript and emphasize the importance of maintaining strong grades in every year of high school.
If your child is a high school senior admitted to colleges for the fall, it's important to emphasize that:
- The student must let colleges know by the National Candidate's Reply Date of May 1 of their intention to enroll. Being even one day late could mean that your student cannot be accommodated.
- Final transcripts are audited and there can be no significant decline in grades; a signifcant decline could result in the rescission of admission.
