2010 Application Now Available Our online application for spring and fall 2010 is now available at http://admissions.rutgers.edu/applying. The priority application dates are October 15 for the spring semester and December 1 for fall first-year students. Please urge your son or daughter to apply early.
The Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) is a required part of our 2010 application process and eliminates the need for high schools to send us interim transcripts. Applicants should obtain a copy of their high school transcript from their guidance counselor and use it to complete the SRAR. We recommend that prospective Rutgers students and their parents preview the SRAR. You do not need to create an account or login to preview it--just click on the "Next" button at the top of each page to progress through the preview.
Enrolling first-year students will be required to submit a final official high school transcript in July 2010.

What Should My Child Be Doing Now? Many colleges have application deadlines in November and December, so at this point your senior really needs to:
- finalize the list of schools to which he plans to apply
- compile a list of requirements for each school
- request that his SAT or ACT scores be sent to all the schools to which he's applying
- meet with the teachers he intends to have write recommendation letters
There are schools with application deadlines in January and some as late as March. But keep in mind that whether it is the initial application for admission or a housing application, earlier is always better. If your child is currently a high school sophomore or junior, now would be a good time to:
- Visit college campuses and websites
- Review your child's transcript and emphasize the importance of maintaining strong grades in every year of high school
- Investigate sources of financing your child's education
- Contact your child's guidance counselor or college adviser for suggestions about appropriate colleges and to discuss your child's academic record
