About Chemistry

Want the opportunity to be published before graduating? Want to work alongside some of the top individuals in the field of Chemistry? At Rutgers University–Camden, students in the Chemistry program have the opportunity to be a part of something much larger than their major. As one of the leading research universities, you'll always be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and developments. A student who plans to major in Chemistry may choose from among four options. The certificate program and the traditional chemistry programs prepare the student for graduate study in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or for employment as a professional chemist or biochemist. The Biochemistry program prepares students for graduate study in an allied health fields or for employment. The Chemistry-Business program prepares students for the non-laboratory aspects of the chemical profession. It also offers the academic prerequisites for pursuit of the Master of Business Administration degree. No matter which route you choose, the Chemistry program will put you on the right track.
