The major in planning and public policy will prepare you for entry-level jobs in the public and private sectors, especially in the fields of housing, community development, government service, land use, real estate, transportation, and health policy, and for graduate education in public administration, public policy and urban planning. This program takes into consideration the specific needs of adult and nontraditional students and University College-New Brunswick endorses it as an adult-friendly & working-professional program.

Admissions Process

First-year students apply to the School of Arts and Sciences and then can complete the major at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.

Transfer students with at least 30 college credits and the required pre-requisites can apply for admission directly to the Bloustein School. This program is designed to accommodate the needs of transfer and nontraditional students.
