Start Global is Rutgers–New Brunswick's signature program offering first-year students admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences the opportunity to begin their college career abroad! Jumpstart your future as a Scarlet Knight, immersing yourself in the heart of Dublin, Ireland.

First-year School of Arts and Sciences students participating in this program will earn 12-15 credits and fulfill the same curricular requirements as students studying at Rutgers–New Brunswick's main campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick, NJ.

No. Unfortunately, Start Global is only for first-year School of Arts and Sciences admitted students. Our hope is that this program will expand to other Rutgers–New Brunswick schools. To be considered for this program, you must first apply for admission to Rutgers–New Brunswick. Once admitted to Rutgers–New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences, you will receive an invitation to complete a supplemental application for Start Global. The Start Global supplemental application deadline is May 1, 2027, with a scholarship priority deadline of April 15, 2027.
