Not Admitted
It is not possible to admit you to this school of Rutgers for the coming semester. The competition for admission depends on the number of spaces available, the number and quality of academic courses applicants have completed, and the number of applications we receive for each school or program.

The Admissions Profile of the most recently admitted class provides SAT, ACT and GPA ranges of high school students regularly admitted to Rutgers for fall.

Transfer students whose grade-point averages appear competitive might not be admitted because they have not completed required courses for their school(s) of application; for example, most Rutgers schools require a foundation in mathematics, English, science, and foreign language. Other transfer applicants may not be admitted because their most recent coursework is not academically competitive or their grade-point average is not competitive. As with first-year students, the Admissions Profile provides context for our decisions.

If you wish to attend Rutgers in the future, we recommend taking additional college courses to complete missing required courses or to improve your overall academic profile and grade-point average. Once additional coursework is completed, you may again apply to Rutgers. New Jersey’s community colleges provide a Recommended Transfer Program described at NJ Transfer. By using NJ Transfer, students can determine course requirements for the first two years of each Rutgers major and choose classes accordingly.

Information on the number of applications we received and the size of the entering class for each of the Rutgers–New Brunswick schools, Rutgers-Camden schools, and Rutgers-Newark schools can also provide context for our decisions.

Not Admitted - Portfolio Review/Audition Not Completed
Because you did not complete the required portfolio review or audition request, it is not possible to admit you to this school for the coming semester. If you have any questions about your admissions decision, please contact 856-225-6104 or admissions@camden.rutgers.edu.

Wait List
You are currently on our wait list for this school. Your application, while strong, is not as competitive as those of students we are able to admit at this time. If we find after the Candidate’s Reply Date (December 7 for spring semester and May 1 for fall semester) that we have space for additional students, we will review all students on the wait list and select from among them. Current high school seniors should submit their mid-year senior year grades via the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR). Transfer students should have an updated transcript with their current semester grades submitted as soon as the current semester is complete and all grades are available. By submitting updated academic information, you will ensure that we have your most current academic records if further review becomes possible. If we are not able to admit you from the wait list, we will notify you prior to the semester for which you have applied. In recent years we have admitted some students from our wait lists. We cannot guarantee admission from the wait list. If you have been offered admission to another school within Rutgers, you should accept that offer while you remain on the wait list in order to guarantee your seat in our incoming class.
