The Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC) is a transformational college access program that is broadening pathways to college for promising talent and re-imagining academia. The program is focused on identifying the talent within our midst and providing continued opportunity and prosperity for all, including those who have been systematically disenfranchised by systems of inequality.
The Expanded RU-N to the TOP Financial Aid Program provides a "last-dollar" financial aid award for undergraduate first-year students from Newark and Greater Newark and/or transfer students from New Jersey’s County Colleges. The program expanded in fall 2022 to include Greater Newark residents from Orange, East Orange, and Irvington that meet the eligibility requirements.
At Rutgers–Newark, a quality education is within reach through a variety of financial aid services and opportunities.
The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) is a state-sponsored program available to students that show promise but need additional financial and academic support. The program provides services designed to foster community, assist with financial literacy and academic success, and provide leadership development through access to professional networks and resources relevant to this rapidly evolving world.
